Important Warning on Competitions, Prizes or Lucky Draws not authorised by SJM

A number of organisations are using the name of SJM Holdings Limited or Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (now change its name to SJM Resorts, S.A.) (together “SJM”) to attempt to defraud people of money. These activities are generally conducted via telephone or online and normally refer to SJM as a sponsor of a competition, prize or lucky draw. Victims of the scam are told to send money in advance, which is then retained by the fraudulent operator, in order to collect a monetary prize.

IMPORTANT: SJM has never authorised any such telephone or online competition, prize or lucky draw and has reported and will continue to report, these scams to the authorities in Macau and, if appropriate, the Hong Kong police force.

For the record, SJM does not operate any gaming operations online and does not participate — whether as operator or sponsor — in any telephone or online competition, prize or lucky draw.

If you are offered any “prize” or approached to participate in any lucky draw, or join a membership, DO NOT accept, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY and DO NOT provide any personal details (including your bank account details).

SJM will not be liable for any purported prizes or other “offers” which have been made by other organisations or persons without SJM’s authority and does not accept any liability (whether in tort or contract or otherwise) for any loss or damage incurred or suffered by any party who supplies his or her personal information or who pays money to any organisations or persons who have not been authorised by SJM.
